By far the easiest way to play piano is using chords as the accompaniment and then play the melody either using DecPlay's 'PianoTabz' lead sheets, traditional lead sheets, or by ear.
Whichever method you choose, the techniques taught in the DecPlay course has the following advantages:-

A 'lead sheet' is a song sheet which splits the music into 2 parts - melody (using single notes) and accompaniment (using chords). Lead sheets allow a range of playing styles (from beginner to advanced) using the same song sheet and are much more effective than traditional piano music (which just uses notation without any chords) for playing songs on piano.
Standard lead sheets use notation and DecPlay lead sheets use numbers, which beginner students find much easier and which enables advanced skills (eg intermediate and advanced playing styles, playing by ear, improvising, transposing, etc..)
